Hatten, 71, Succumbs; Rites At Hebron Chris James Hatten, 71, died Friday, June 9, 1967 in a Columbia hospital following a lengthy illness. Mr. Hatten was a native of Winn Parish and a lifetime resident of Hebron Community. Funeral services for Mr. Hatten were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Hebron Baptist Church with the Rev. J. C. Eubanks, the Rev. Doris Dearman, and the Rev. Lazel Crain officiating. Masonic graveside rites were conducted with burial in the Hebron Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home. Mr. Hatten, a World War I veteran, is survived by his widow; three brothers, Monroe Hatten of Columbia, Mike Hatten of Sikes, and J. W. Hatten of Grayson, La.; three sisters, Mrs. Media Huitt of Monroe, Mrs. Ola Sims of Swamper, La., and Mrs. Vera Martin of Sikes, La. Pallbearers were nephews of the deceased.
