Hatten, 78, of Sikes, died Thursday, January 28, 1971 in the Columbia Heights Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Hebron Baptist Church with the Rev. J. C. Eubanks officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Elmo Randall, Olla; one son, Bud Hatten, Port Barre; one brother, J. W. Hatten, Grayson; three sisters, Mrs. Nedia Huitt, Monroe, Mrs. Ora Simmons, Winnsboro, and Mrs. Vera Martin, Sikes; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Clyde Herring, Oscar Martin, Jr., Orlan Taylor, James C. Parker, and Rev. James Simons.
