R. Lindsey was called to El Dorado on account of the death of her sister, Ms. Eula Hawks, who succumbed to an illness of about three weeks. Mrs. Haawks was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. N. Huffman, and lived here with her parents and attended the public schools. When a young woman she moved to El Dorado. She is survived by her husband, O. M. Hawks, two sons, O. M. Hawks, Jr., of Camp Claiborne, and John T. Hawks of El Dorado, and four sisters, Mrs. Ava Crutchfield, El Dorado, Mrs. A. R. Lindsey, Winnfield, Mrs. Cyrus Thompson, Monroe, and Mrs. Joe Heard, Hope, Ark.
