E. Ray of Winnfield has returned from Odessa, Texas, where she attended the funeral of her nephew, Dudley Haynie, 27, who died in Big Springs, Texas, March 5, after a short illness with leukemia. Funeral services were conducted at Odessa, Friday. The deceased was a World War II Navy veteran, was a graduate of Winnfield High School in the class of 1951, and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Haynie, former residents of Winnfield, and now of Odessa. The family moved from Winnfield during World War II. Besides his parents, the deceased leaves three sisters, Mrs. James Eagles of Prairie DuRocher, Ill., Mrs. Lester Christopher and Pat Haynie of Odessa; six brothers, Charles F., Frank, William, Ralph, Louis, and Bobby.
