Funeral Rites For Mrs. Mary Head Held Tuesday

Mrs. Mary D. Head, 80, a lifelong resident of Sikes, born January 7, 1880,
died Monday, may 9, 1960.  Mrs. Head was a widow.

Surviving are one son, Iley Head of Pleasant Hill, Mo.; four daughters, Mrs.
Earl Hatten, Mrs. A. W. Womack, Mrs. C. W. Womack, Sr., and Mrs. A. N.
Gafford, all of Sikes.  She also leaves several grandchildren.

Rev. Joel Upton and Rev. Kenneth Wall officiated at the funeral services May
10, which were held in the Sikes Baptist Church, with interment in the Sikes
Cemetery under direction of Hixson Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were C. W. Womack, Jr., Henry Womack, Karl Womack, Dale Hatten,
Marvin Head and Jack Head.
