Walter F. Head Rites Held Sunday At Hart Church

Walter F. Head, 60, of Sikes, died early Saturday, Aug. 2, enroute to a
Winnfield hospital.  He was stricken by a heart attack at his home near Sikes.

Funeral services, under the direction of Southern Funeral Home, were held
Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Hart Church.  Burial was in the Sikes Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bertha Head of Sikes; three sons, W. O. Head
of Sikes, J. A. Head of Urania, and Isaac head of Goldonna; four daughters,
Mrs. Lillie Mae Tucker of Sikes, Mrs. Violet Whitaker of Tennessee, Mrs. Rosa
Howell of West Monroe, and Colleen Parker of Tioga, La.; 25 grandchildren and
one great grandchild; one brother, Illey Head of Missouri; four sisters, Mrs.
A. W. Womack and Mrs. C. W. Womack of Sikes, Mrs. Earl Hatten and Mrs. Dollie
Mae Gafford, both of New Orleans.
