Wiley Head Dies After Returning to Longview After Car Wreck Wiley Head, 36 years of age, dropped dead at Longview, Texas, Saturday afternoon, after he had returned there from Sikes, where he had had a car wreck earlier in the day. The wreck occurred according to reports, when Head's car collided with the Nichols truck on the Dodson-Grayson highway about a mile from Sikes. The cars were coming from opposite directions and collided when they met over a hill, and Head became nervous and lost control of his machine. In the car with Head were his mother, Mrs. Isaac Head, his wife and several others. He, his mother, wife, and Earl Hatten were treated by a physician at Sikes. His injuries were not considered serious and they proceeded to Longview where he fell dead from internal injuries. Funeral services were conducted at Sikes Monday by the Rev. M. L. Lee, Rev. Joe Adams, and L. D. Emmons. The deceased is survived by his wife, mother, four children, Willie Mae, LaVerne, LaVelle, and Hazel; three brothers, Walter, Doc, and Henry, and four sisters, Pina, Lona, Ollie, and Dollie Mae.
