Mrs. Hearne, 59, Sister Of Sikes Resident, Dies

Mrs. Ina Hearne, 59, of Chatham, died early Wednesday, April 19, 1972, at St.
Francis Hospital in Monroe after a short illness.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Concord Methodist Church
near Chatham with the Revs. C. K. Brooks, Falcon Hearne, and Leo Beck
officiating.

Burial was in Chatham Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Elbert Hearne of Chatham; three sons, Earlon
Hearne of Fairbanks, Alaska, Verlon Hearne of Springhill, and Delton Hearne of
Fort Worth, Tex.; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Johnson of Monroe and Miss
Lucille Hearne of Monroe; two sisters, Mrs. Tiny Gray of Hodge and Mrs. Alma
Stroud of Sikes; two brothers, Horace McCarty of Jonesboro and Wesley McCarty
of Monroe; and eight grandchildren.
