Dr. C. M. Heflin

Dr. C. Marshal Heflin, age 83, died at his residence in Baton Rouge Tuesday,
August 22, 1978 at 5:00 p.m.  Rabenhorst Funeral Home at 825 Government Street
in Baton Rouge had charge of the funeral arrangements and the body lay in
state there Wednesday from 4:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and from 8:00 a.m. on
Thursday until time for the funeral.

Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 24, 1978 from the chapel of
the mortuary with Dr. John F. Callaway officiating.  Interment was in Green
Oaks Memorial Park Cemetery.

Dr. Heflin was born in Yellow Pine, La., but lived until maturity in
Winnfield, Louisiana.  He was a well known veterinarian, the son of the late
Sheriff and Mrs. W. T. Heflin of Winnfield and is survived by his wife, Mrs.
Annie Laurie Heflin; one daughter, Mrs. Nelson (Marshall Ann) Bourgeois; one
sister, Miss Eva Heflin, and one brother, Herman L. Heflin, all of Baton
Rouge, Louisiana.
