Hemphill, 54, Dies Wednesday, Last Rites Friday Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Friday, at the Corinth Tabernacle for J. E. Hemphill, 54, of Winnfield, who died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 1952, at the Charity Hospital in Pineville. Rites will be conducted by the Rev. C. M. Robinson, pastor of the Downtown Assembly of God Church, and the Rev. R. D. Sjolander, pastor of the South Winnfield Baptist Church, and interment will be in the Corinth Cemetery with Southern Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Hemphill is survived by his wife, four sons, Reuben with the Air Force at Presque Isle, Maine, James Richard of Marshall, Texas, and Gene and Gary Dale of Winnfield; five daughters, Mrs. Jacqueline Leech of Oregon, Mrs. Madge Asselta of Maryland, Mrs. Patsy Buckston of Jena and Gloria and Janet Hemphill of Winnfield; three brothers, Growin Hemphill of Chatham, and W. G. and J. P. Hemphill of Winnfield, Route 2; a sister, Mrs. Sallie Capps of Georgetown and five grandchildren.
