A. Hemphill At Zion Thursday Last rites for W. A. Hemphill, 46, who was drowned in Tensas River December 6, were held at the Zion Cemetery near Georgetown, December 9, with the Rev. Lisenbia officiating. A native of Winn Parish, he had been making his home in Clayton, La. and was on a fishing trip with his wife at the time of the accident. He is survived by his wife; two sons, Freddie, 6, and Michael, 3; his mother, Mrs. E. Hemphill, and brother, Marvin, of Beulah Community, and the following brothers and sisters: Jessie and Lenard of Ferriday; Elbert of Williana; Richard of Ft. Riley, Kansas; W. G. of Georgetown; J. P. of Winnfield; Grover of Joyce. Sisters: Mrs. Sallie Capps, Mrs. Ray Hodges, Georgetown; Mrs. C. A. Bird, Clayton, La.; Mrs. Ples McFearson of Ferriday; Mrs. C. A. Parson, Kentwood; and a host of nieces and nephews.
