Funeral services were held at the Dodson Bapltist Church November 3, 1943, at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. J. S. Kilpatrick of Hodge, Rev. J. H. Buckner of Jonesboro, and Rev. H. H. McBride of Winnfield officiating. Burial was in the Thompson cemetery near Sikes. Born February 6, 1880, Miss Mildred McDonald, of Columbia, she became the wife of George W. Hendrix October 31, 1895. To this union ten children were born, five of whom survive. She was a member of the Baptist Church of Dodson since a young girl and a faithful Christian all her life. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. George H. Hightower, Winnfield; Mrs. Elmer Fletcher, Orange, Texas; Mrs. Holly Brown, Hodge; and Mrs. Prentice Flower, Orange; and one son, Harold Hendrix, of Orange. She also leaves one brother, Archie McDonald, of Bisbee, Ariz.; and one sister, Mrs. Ila Mixon, of Pollock.
