Allen F. Hennigan died at his home in the Zion Community located on the Georgetown-Winnfield highway, July 8, 1936. He had been a resident of that community for the past seven years. Mr. Hennigan was born seventy-six years ago near the Sabine River in what is now the town of Merryville. His early life was spent in Texas, especially the range section, and New Mexico. Later he settled in this state and was married. Besides his widow, he is survived by two sons, J. C. of Rochelle and W. U. of Georgetown; four daughters, Mrs. Martha Hall of Gardo, Ala., Mrs. Ruth Normand of Lake Charles, Mrs. Mary Skelton of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Mrs. Helen Connor of Winnfield. He was a faithful member of the Mormon Church and was buried in the Guin Cemetery, with Mr. Lem Kees conducting the funeral prayer service. He had been ill for more than three years and had been confined to his bed for the past two months.
