C. Henley, Police Jury Member Ward Two Juror Is Buried At Norphlet, Ark., Wednesday Carlos C. Henley, 42 years, nine months and six days of age, a member of the Winn Parish Police Jury from Ward Two, succumbed at the Urania hospital Tuesday at 6:05 a.m. He had been in ill health for a number of months. Funeral services were held at the family home near Tullos Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock after which the remains were conveyed to Norphlet, Ark., where burial was made in the Rehobeth Cemetery under the direction of the Southern Funeral Home. The Rev. J. O. Jones of Golddust, La., officiated. Elected a member of the police jury in 1936, he faithfully served his ward and parish in that capacity. He was a civic leader in his community, a member and a steward of the Lewis Chapel Methodist Church, and a member of the Charles F. Buck Masonic Lodge No. 260, F. & A. M., Urania. He was also a member of the parish library board. A native of Norphlet, Ark., Mr. Henley came to Louisiana in 1925 and later established his residence in Winn Parish where he operated a number of oil wells in the Tullos field. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Love Camerson Henley and the following children: Mrs. O. W. Holmes, Olla, La.; Mrs. Morris McCartney, Tullos; Helen, C. C., Jr., Paula, Virginia, John and Richard Earl, and four grandchildren. He also leaves his parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. O. Henley of Norphlet, three brothers, Raymond, Lonnie, and Rex Henley, all of Norphlet, Ark., and three sisters, Mrs. Edna Jameson, Arkadelphia, Ark., Mrs. Ray Duplissy, Texas, and Miss Linnie Henley of Norplhet, Ark.
