All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: October 10, 1946 Winn Parish Enterprise Last Rites For Joan Hennigan At Sanders Chapel Last rites for Joan Hennigan, 19, who died suddenly in New Orleans Wednesday morning, October 2, were held at Sanders Chapel Saturday at 2 p.m., under direction of Southern Funeral Home. The Rev. F. M. York, pastor Calvin Baptist Church, of which the deceased was a member, officiated at the last rites. Pallbearers were Chester Chandler, Edward Chandler, Howard Wilson, James Martin, Charles Martin, and Dayton Carter. The deceased who had been in ill health for some time, was a 1944 graduate of Calvin High School. For the past two years she had been employed in the office of the Anderson-Clayton United Cotton Companies in New Orleans and was office supervisor at the time of her death. Surviving are her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Hennigan of Calvin, and Mr. and Mrs. John Caskey, Sr., of Bienville, La.; mother, Mrs. L. L. Crawford of Saline; father, E. W. Hennigan of Calvin; two brothers, Ray and Roy of the U. S. Navy, and two half-sisters, Wanda Lee Crawford of Saline and Clydie Aliene Hennigan of Calvin.
