Mrs. Herring, 95, Dies; Rites Held At Hebron

Aunt Lona Herring, 95, a resident of ______________ Nursing Home in Columbia
for the past 10 years, died Monday, 7:30 p.m., January 24, 1977, after a long
illness.  She was a native of the Hebron Community, Winn Parish and was the
widow of the late Fleet Herring, and was one of the oldest citizens of the
area.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, January 26, at 2 p.m. at the Hebron
Baptist Church with the pastor, Rev. Larry Adkins, and the Rev. James Simons,
officiating.  Burial was in the Hebron Cemetery under direction of Riser
Funeral Home.

She is survived by one son, Clyde Herring of Hebron; five grandchildren, a
number of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; one sister, Mrs. Ebb
Thornton of Winnfield.
