Clyde Hicks

Clyde W. Hicks, 66, of Winnfield, was dead upon arrival Saturday morning,
February 16, 1980 at the Winnfield General Hospital after a sudden illness.

Mr. Hicks was a member of First United Methodist Church and was supervisor of
U. B. Carpenter Stores for 23 years.

Services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday in First United Methodist Church with
the Rev. Grayson Watson officiating.  Burial was in Garden of Memories
Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Emma Lloyd Hicks of Winnfield; his mother,
Mrs. Bertha Hicks of Cooper, Texas; two brothers, Curtis Hicks and Dennis
Hicks, both of Cooper; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Breard Carpenter, Woody Smith, Ed Grigg, Joe Shelton, Reece
Stuckey, and E. E. Newsom.
