Dude Hicks, Age 40, Succumbs To Long Illness Wednesday

Dude Hicks, age about 40, who had been ill for several months with
tuberculosis, died at his home about three miles out on the Winnfield-Tullos
highway Wednesday afternoon.

The body was conveyed to Coushatta where funeral services were held and
interment made in the family cemetery.

He is survived by his widow and one small son, about four years of age, his
mother, Mrs. Florence Hicks, three brothers, J. B. Hicks of Zwolle, W. G.
Hicks and J. E. Hicks of Winnfield, two sisters, Mrs. G. O. Thompson of
Kilgore, Texas and Mrs. G. D. Provence of Winnfield.
