Last Rites Held For Mrs. F. Hicks of Tannehill

After an illness of a long duration, Mrs. Florence Hicks, 84, died at the home
of her son, J. E. Hicks, Tannehill community, Thursday, December 5, 1946. 
Funeral services were conducted Sunday at the Winnfield Church of Christ of
which Mrs. Hicks was a member.  Interment was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery near
Coushatta, la., under direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Born in Alabama, Mrs. Hicks moved to Ringgold, while a young child.  She had
been making her home with her son at Tannehill for some time.

Surviving are two sons, J. E. Hicks, Tannehill; J. R. Hicks, Houston, Texas;
two daughters, Mrs. B. F. Provence, Winnfield; Mrs. J. O. Thomas, Overton,
Texas; two half brothers, Kader Gardner, Winnfield, and Charlie Gardner,
Ringgold; one half sister, Mrs. J. B. Pollard, Arcadia.
