V. Hickman, Sr., Dies; Burial At New Salem John Virgil Hickman, Sr., 67, of Montgomery, died at 2:45 p.m. Friday, September 29, 1972 in an Alexandria hospital. He was a commercial fisherman and a member of the First Baptist Church of Montgomery and the Montgomery Masonic Lodge No. 168, F. & A. M. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Breta Mae Cass Hickman of Montgomery; five sons, J. B. Hickman of Los Angeles, Calif.; Howard O. Hickman of Morton, Ill.; Marlin N. Hickman of Canadian, Texas; Travis A. Hickman of New Orleans; and Nolan Ray Hickman of Otsugi, Japan; one daughter, Mrs. Dauhaine Ostuni of Austin, Texas; four sisters, Mrs. Idell Minchew of Coushatta; Mrs. Ora Lee Garner of Coushatta; Mrs. Bernice Loupe of New Orleans; and Mrs. Opal Johnson of Montgomery; 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church of Montgomery with Rev. O. J. Dumas and Rev. Roy Moore officiating. Burial was in the New Salem Cemetery near Montgomery.
