Death Claims Mrs. Oscar Hickman of Near Montgomery

Mrs. Sallie Hickman, 61, wife of Oscar Hickman of near Montgomery, died at her
home Sunday, March 24, 1940, after an illness of about three weeks duration. 
Funeral services were conducted at the New Salem Church Monday.  Services were
conducted by Mrs. Lula Wardlow.

Mrs. Hickman was born and reared in Winn Parish, Ward Eight.

She is survived by her husband, four daughters, Mrs. Ethel Hingley of Erath;
Mrs. Lee Reynolds of Pineville; Mrs. Homer Benson of Crews; Mrs. Hazel Page
of Montgomery; and two sons, Lloyd and Sam.  She is survived also by one
sister, Mrs. Mattie Christy of Pineville.
