Hicks Is Buried At Mt. Zion Thursday Afternoon, 4 P.M. H. A. "Dude" Hicks, 41 years of age, died at his home 4 miles east of Winnfield Wednesday night at 6 o'clock. He had been in ill health for a number of years, but had only been confined to his bed for the past two weeks. Funeral services were conducted at Mt. Zion near Coushatta, Thursday afternoon at 4 o'clock with the Rev. Alwin Stokes, pastor of the Presbyterian Church in charge. Surviving the deceased are his widow, Mrs. Nettie Hicks and two daughters, Mrs. Geraldine Weaver and Mrs. Dorothy Nell Hicks of Castor; and one son, Anton Menefee Hicks of Winnfield; his mother, Mrs. Florence Hicks of Winnfield; three brothers, J. B. Hicks of Zwolle and H. G. and J. B. Hicks of Winnfield; two sisters, Mrs. J. O. Thomas of Kilgore, Texas and Mrs. G. F. Provence of Winnfield.
