Funeral For Howard Hicks Friday, Aug. 4

Employee of Tremont Lbr. Company 15 Years Succumbs

Howard Hicks, 48 years, died in a Shreveport hospital Wednesday, August 2,
1939, from a ruptured appendix.  The remains were brought bo the family home
here and funeral services will be held Friday at Mount Zion Cemetery near
Coushatta.

Mr. Hicks has been employed by the Tremont Lumber Company for fifteen years. 
He was a member of the Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife, one son, Wesley Hicks, two small daughters, Sue and
Winifred, all of Winnfield; his mother, Mrs. Florence Hicks of Winnfield; two
sisters, Mrs. G. F. Provence of Winnfield and Mrs. J. O. Thomas of Overton,
Texas; and two brothers, Jesse Hicks of Winnfield and J. B. Hicks of Zwolle,
La.
