Final Rites Held For Jessie Hicks Here Tuesday

Jessie Edward Hicks, 77, a retired carpenter, died at his residence in
Winnfield at 8:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9.  He was a member of the Church of
Christ and a native of Red River Parish.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elsie Hicks; two sons, Carroll of Winnfield
and Fred E. of Houma; three daughters, Mrs. Joy Miller and Miss Patricia
Hicks, both of Port Sulphur, and Mrs. Mary Long of New Iberia; one sister,
Mrs. J. O. Thomas of Odessa, Texas; and nine grandchildren.
