Mrs. Rose Zella Higdon Succumbs Here October 15

Mrs. Rose Zella Higdon, 74, died suddenly at her home in Winnfield Sunday,
October 15.  She was a member of the Old Union Baptist Church.

Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday from Old Union Baptist
Church with the Rev. W. L. Fussell officiating.  Burial was in the church
cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Floyd Gates, Jimmie Ray Gates, James Irvin Gates, William
Gates, William Ray Higdon, and J. B. Wise.

Survivors include her husband, W. H. Higdon; three sons, William Joe Higdon,
Winnfield, John R. Higdon, Dodson, James M. Higdon, Natchitoches; one
daughter, Mrs. Floyd Gates of Tannehill; two brothers, Troy Harper of Joyce
and Roy Harper of Tannehill; 10 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
