Mrs. Malitia Hicks Age 66, Succumbs Of Long Illness

Funeral services for Mrs. Malitia Hicks, 66 years of age, who died at her home
here Wednesday night, September 7th, were held at the First Baptist Church
Thursday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock.  The Rev. A. H. Cullen, pastor, was in
charge.  Interment was in the Winnfield Cemetery.

Mrs. Hicks was born December 2, 1865 in Texas, in which state she was also
reared.  About fifteen years ago the family moved to Winnfield from
Kirbyville, Texas.  Mrs. Hicks had been in ill health about two years,
suffering from high blood pressure.

Surviving the deceased is one daughter, Miss Winnie Hicks, of Winnfield, and
one son, Arthur Hicks, of Many, La.
