Funeral of Joe P. Hines Held Here Sunday, June 10

Joe P. Hines, 49, passed away in Shreveport June 8, 1951, following a heart
attack.  Funeral services were conducted at the home of his sister, Mrs. E. H.
Box, King Street, Winnfield, June 10, with Rev. Alwin Stokes officiating. 
Burial was in the Jonesboro Cemetery.

Acting as pallbearers were Al Dowden, Fred Mercer, Henry Gorham, M. M. Box,
Robert Maxey, and Clyde Jones.

Born near Jackson, Miss., August 25, 1902, Mr. Hines made his home in
Winnfield with his sister for the past 10 years.  

Surviving are his mother, Mrs. R. A. Williams; one sister, Mrs. E. H. Box; two
nephews, James and M. M. Box.
