J. R. Hallmark, Sr., Dies; Funeral Held At Sardis

James Robert Hallmark, Sr., 71, of Atlanta, died Saturday, March 1, 1975 at
his home after a long illness.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday in the Sardis Baptist Church with
the Rev. E. B. Barton officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under the
direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Survivors include two sons, James R. Hallmark, Jr., and Ruben Hallmark, both
of Atlanta; three daughters, Mrs. Vallerie Lucas of Monroe, Mrs. Altha Burt
and Mrs. Catherine Horne, both of Dallas, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Odelle
Strickland of Dry Prong and Mrs. Cecile Box of Winnfield, and 10 grandchildren.
