Hodge, Former Winn Resident, Dies Henry Whitfield Hodge, 64, of Ida, died Monday, June 12, 1972 in Shreveport. He was a retired bridge builder for the Illinois Central Railroad. Mr. and Mrs. Hodge were former residents of Winnfield, having lived here for many years before moving to Ida, La. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Opal Cantrell Hodge of Ida; two daughters, Mrs. Billie Faircloth of Keithville and Mrs. Johnnie McNaughton of Ida; a brother, Hiram Hodge of Harriston, Miss.; one sister, Mrs. Callie Carvin of Baton Rouge, and nine grandchildren. Funeral services were held in Hixson Bros. Chapel, Winnfield, at 10 a.m. Wednesday, with Rev. Johnny Tiptson and Rev. Earl D. Roderick officiating. Burial was in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Winnfield. Pallbearers included Tommy O'Neal, Charles O'Neal, David O'Neal, Ronnie O'Neal, Don M. Oslorn, and Buford Ward.
