J. Hogan Held At Transport Funeral services for E. J. Hogan, 76, retired farmer of Dodson, who died Friday, March 14, after suffering a heart attack, were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Dodson Baptist Church. The Rev. Edgar Cripps, pastor, assisted by Rev. Grafton Shaw, officiated at the last rites. Burial was in the Transport Cemetery with the Masonic Lodge in charge. A native of Alabama, Mr. Hogan had been a resident of Dodson for the past 40 years. He was a member of the Midway Baptist Church and of the Midway Masonic Lodge, being a 32nd degree Mason. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Frances Temple Hogan of Dodson; one son, Leo Hogan of Shreveport; two daughters, Mrs. R. S. Walsh of Longview, Texas and Mrs. Floyd Pepper of Jonesboro; one grandchild, two brothers, Vershel Hogan of Jonesboro and Irvin of Choudrant; one sister, Mrs. Homer Pierce of Jonesboro; and a number of nieces and nephews.
