Mrs. Mattie Lee Dalby Hogue

Mrs. Mattie Lee Dalby Houge, age 21 years, died Friday evening, Nov. 4, at
3:00 o'clock at a sanitarium in El Dorado, Ark.  Mrs. Hogue was in ill health
for some time and underwent an operation for appendicitis the day before her
death.  Mrs. Hogue was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Dalby of Winnfield, 
spent most of her childhood in this city, where she has many friends.  Besides
her parents, she is survived by her young son, E. C. Gaar; two brothers, Edwin
and Clayton Dalby, and one sister, Sybil Dalby.

The body, in charge of Barton's Undertakers was brought to Winnfield Saturday.
Funeral services were held Sunday at the Presbyterian Church, Rev. Alwin
Stokes, of Ferriday, and former pastor of the Winnfield church, officiating. 
Interment was in the Winnfield Cemetery, a large concourse of relatives and
friends attending the last rites.

The many friends sympathize with the family in their bereavement.
