The deceased was the daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. J. J. Peters of Winnfield. She was a native of Winn Parish, a member of the First Baptist Church in Winnfield and owned and operated a florist shop for years until her retirement. Survivors are two brothers, John J. Peters, Sr., and Hines Peters of Winnfield; three sisters, Mrs. E. C. Simonton and Mrs. A. B. Cox, Sr. of Shreveport and Mrs. H. C. Collier of Baton Rouge; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home with Tommy Haralson officiating. Burial was in Winnfield Cemetery. Pallbearers were John J. Peters, Jr., Dan Underwood, Jim Weeks, Joe Weeks, A. B. Cox, Jr., and Kermit M. Simmons.
