O. Holland Held At Mt. Zion Mrs. C. O. "Lola" Holland, 78, died Monday in a Winnfield hospital after a long illness. She was a resident of 804 East Main Street. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 16, in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home with Rev. J. C. Rousseaux officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. The following nephews acted as pallbearers: Bobby Smith, Leonard Doyal, Jimmy Smith, Sam Bufkin, Jack Sirman, and Tommy Thomas. Mrs. Holland was a native of Grant Parish, and a member of the Atlanta Methodist church. She was active in community and church affairs until her health failed. Surviving are a son, Otis Holland of Atlanta; three daughters, Mrs. J. T. Shaw and Miss Effie Holland, both of Winnfield, and Mrs. A. B. Johnson of Alameda, Calif.; two brothers, L. M. Smith of Verda and Bryan Smith of St. Louis, Mo.; two sisters, Mrs. E. L. Bufkin of Elizabeth and Mrs. K. A. Thomas of Winnfield; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
