Brother of Mrs. L. J. Thomas Dies In Detroit, Mich.

Mrs. L. J. Thomas received word last Friday night of the death of her brother,
Lloyd Thomas Holmes, 46, in Detroit, Mich.  Mr. Holmes, a native of Winn
Parish, died from injuries received when he fell down a flight of stairs.

Having been born in Winn Parish, Mr. Holmes left here at the age of 12
years.  He went to Birmingham, Ala., in February, 1919, and had been in
Detroit for the past four years.

The funeral was held in Detroit Monday at 2 p.m.
