Mrs. Holmes with the Dead.

Mrs. Frances Narcissus Holmes died Saturday night, July 23, at her home here, 
after a brief illness. Her body was taken to Beech Creek, in this parish, Sunday 
morning, where it was laid to rest among the loved ones who had preceded her.

Mrs. Holmes was 57 years old, and leaves two sisters, Mrs. H. M. Riser of 
Winnfield and Mrs. W. H. Chisholm of Jena, besides numerous other relatives.

She has resided in this town a number of years, and was held in high esteem by 
the community, who in common with The Comrade mourn her loss.
