Final Rites Held For Mrs. Amanda Holt at Hebron

Mrs. Amanda Holt, 84, died in a Shreveport hospital January 4, 1960 following
a brief illness.

Funeral services were conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Hebron Baptist Church
near Sikes, with Rev. Kenneth Wall, Rev. W. C. Hall, and Rev. Hardy Beaubouef
officiating.  Burial was in the church cemetery.

A native of Mississippi, Mrs. Holt had resided in the Sikes area since 1890.
She was a member of the Hurricane Grove Baptist Church.

Surviving are one son, the Rev. J. L. Holt, Joyce; one daughter, Mrs. Annie
Golden, Shreveport; and one brother, F. C. Herring, Sikes.

Acting as pallbearers were Clyde Herring, Laurie Newsom, Denton Newsom, Sam
Dulaney, Alon Gregory, and Doc Parker.
