Walter Hoob, 75, Dies; Rites Held In Montgomery

Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the Montgomery Church of
Christ for Walter Hoob, 75, of Montgomery, who died Monday, July 19, 1971.

Burial was in the Montgomery Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral
Home of Winnfield.

Mr. Hoob was a native of Grant Parish and a retired ferry operator.

Survivors include his widow; one son, Troy Hoob of Montgomery, three
daughters, Mrs. Barnell Ferrier of Natchitoches, Linda Lovorn of Montgomery,
and Mrs. Mildred Rohmer of Divine, Texas; two brothers, Willie Hoob of
Montgomery and Noah Hoob of Houma; one half-brother, Henry Hoob of Shreveport;
one sister, Mrs. Harriet Painter of Colfax; one half-sister, Mrs. Ida Lemoine
of Clarence; and six grandchildren.
