Horne of Atlanta Dies At Home of Son Here Funeral Services At Atlanta Church on Monday P. M. James Robert Horne, better known to a large circle of friends as Jim Bob Horne of Atlanta died Sunday afternoon at four o'clock at the home of his son, R. R. Horne, here following an illness of more than two weeks. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at four o'clock at the Atlanta Methodist Church, with the Rev. Alwin Stokes, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Winnfield, conducting the rites. Interment was in the church cemetery. The deceased was born in Clayton County, Alabama, March 31, 1856. He came to Louisiana in winter of 1861 and settled in Winn Parish in 1884. He was married to Miss Joanna Hilborn October 27, 1887 at Atlanta when the Rev. S. M. Barr officiated. The couple had planned to celebrate their 58th wedding anniversary on last Saturday, but was unable on account of the serious illness of Mr. Horne. Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Joanna Horne, three sons, R. R. Horne, Winnfield, Ralph Horne, Georgetown, and Earl Horne, Atlanta; five grandchildren, Mrs. Robert D. Guin, Winnfield, Miss Jo Francis Horne and Connie Bob Horne, Georgetown, and James Marvin and Bobby Wayne Horne of Atlanta. Active pallbearers included Robert Daniel Guin, C. E. Sherwood, B. F. Billings, Rayford Bonnette, Sr., H. E. Carrier, and James Lavelle Long. Honorary pallbearers were M. F. Collier, J. P. Gresham, Andrew Martin, Clinton Taylor, H. A. Gresham, Roy Miller, C. H. Ferguson, Gus Ferguson, and Cicero Wilson and Dalton Wilson of Alexandria.
