Athilea Horne

Winnfield - Services for Athilea Horne will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the
chapel of Southern with the Revs. Gary Wright and Robbie Cooke officiating.
Burial will be in Zion Cemetery at Jordan Hill.

Horne, 93, of Georgetown died Friday, Dec. 1, 2000, in Winn Parish
Medical Center, Winnfield.

She was a Grant Parish native, a homemaker and a member of Big Creek
Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, Connie B. Horne of Winnfield; one daughter,
Jo H. Masters of Jonesboro; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Mike Long, Jerry Long, Matt Harris, Mark Harris,
Owen Jordan and Brad Jordan.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today and from noon until time of services
Sunday in the funeral home.

( Footnote added: Athilea Long (10/25/1907 - 12/01/2000) married Norman
Ralph Horne (2/21/1898 - 5/19/1977) on June 2 1934.

Her parents were Charles Conley Long & Fannie Maxwell. Her grandparents
were William Jefferson Long / Sarah Lucy Wright and William Henry Maxwell /
Eliza Jane Stringer. Her great-grandparents were Charles Whatley Long /
Lucretia Rushing and Collier Allen Maxwell / Elizabeth Cockerham and 
Wade A. Wright / Mary Ann Woodruff. Her great-great-grandparents were
James Long / Mary Ann Kirkman and David Woodruff / Sarah Hughes. )
