Ponce de Leon Howell

Services for Ponce de Leon Howell, 75, of Winnfield were held at 10 a.m.
Thursday in Winnfield at 10:00 a.m. Thursday in Winnfield United Pentecostal
Church with the Rev. Joseph Johnson officiating.  Burial was in Liberty Chapel
Cemetery, Williana, under direction of Edmonds.

Howell died at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 3, 1982 in Winnfield General
Hospital.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel Kennedy Howell of Winnfield; one son, Robert
W.Howell of Winnfield; eight daughters, Patsy Johns, Fannie Gates and Alma
Runyon, all of Jonesboro, Eudia Robinson and Peggy Long, both of Baton Rouge,
Brenda Davis of Houston, Robbie Hill of Winnfield and LaRue Collier of Ruston;
22 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
