Funeral Rites for James E. Howard Held

James E. Howard, 86, of Joyce died Friday April 19, 1968, in a Winnfield
nursing home.  He was a retired farmer.

He is survived by seven daughters, Mrs. Mary Kelly of Harrisonburg, Mrs. Roy
Watson of Baton Rouge, Mrs. Estus Stringer of Sicily Island, Mrs. H. C. Cook
of Dayton, Tex., Mrs. A. J. Wyatt of Houston, Tex., Mrs. C. A. Bowman of Baton
Rouge and Mrs. J. D. Shelton of Winnfield; a half-brother, Randall Holley of
Natchez, Miss.; a half-sister, Mrs. Laura Whittington of Wisner, 18
grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Southern Funeral Home by Rev.
W. A. Wimbs and Rev. E. B. Barton.  Burial was in the Sardis Cemetery.
