Winn Native Succumbs In Monticello, Ark.

The Rev. H. S. Howell, 55, of Monticello, Arkansas, died Saturday morning in
Monticello following an apparent heart attack.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Monday at First United Pentecostal Church,
where he was pastor for the past seven and one half years.  The Revs. E. F.
Cannon and E. B. McKeithen officiated.

Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.

A native of Winn Parish, Rev. Mr. Howell was related to many of the Howell,
Melton, and Long families, in this area.

Survivors include his widow, two sons, two daughters, one sister, two
brothers, and three grandchildren.
