Howell, 65, of Winnfield, died Saturday, February __, 1975 in _____________ here. Survivors are her husband, D. M. Howell, Sr., of Winnfield; a son, D. M. Howell, Jr., of Winnfield; a daughter, Mrs. Rolene Walker of Winnfield; a sister, Mrs. Robert Lincecum of Pollock; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in Laurel Heights Assembly of God with Rev. W. F. Harrell officiating. Date: 20 June 2004 Source: Winnfield News-American William Barrett Howell March 28, 1930 W. B. Howell, son of Mrs. S. F. Howell, was killed in boiler explosion Oklahoma City February 22. He was blown through a two inch wall breaking left arm and crushing skull and died twelve minutes after explosion. Mr. Howell was born near Bolivar, Tenn., and his parents moved to Packton when he ws three years old. His remains were shipped to Cotton Valley where funeral services were completed and interment made in that cemetery. He was a member of the Masonic Fraternity and of the Baptist Church at Cotton Valley and an ardent worker in both. Besides a host of friends he leaves to mourn his loss his mother, Mrs. S. F. Howell and six brothers and seven sisters, Mrs. Grady Howell, Hughie Howell, and Mrs. J. W> Stell of Cotton Valley; F. R. Howell, Girard, La., R. N. Howell, Tullos, La., B. D. Howell, Lafitte, La., P. D. Howell, Mrs. W. J. Melton, Mrs. B. E. Melton, Mrs. W. A. Warren, of Packton, La., Mrs. Ed Sweat of Georgetown, La., Mrs. Grace Rosenblath of Shreveport, La., and Mrs. T.
