Hazel Howell

Funeral services for Hazel Howell were held Saturday, June 8, 2002 at
11:00 a.m. at United Pentecostal Church with Rev. H.W. Smith officiating.
Burial was in Liberty Chapel under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home,
Jonesboro.

Mrs. Howell, age 87, of Winnfield, died Wednesday, June 5, 2002 at Winn
Parish Medical Center.

Survivors include 8 daughters, Larue Collier of Winnfield, Brenda Davis &
husband John of Mobile, Al, and Fannie Gates and husband Huey of Jonesboro,
Patsy Johns and husband Billy of Jonesboro, Peggy Long and husband Earl of
Baton Rouge, Robbie Matthews of Winnfield, Eudia Robinson of Baton Rouge and
Alma Runyon and husband Tom of Jonesboro; one son Robert W Howell and wife
Ethel of Winnfield; three sisters; Jesse Collom of Texas, Bess Henderson of
Jonesboro and Sue Williams of Atlanta; twenty-two grandchildren, thirty 
great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Jonathan Hill, Frank Howell, Patrick Howell, Stacey Long,
Steven Long, Shane McMillan and Jerry Morris.

Footnote added by submitter: Hazel Kennedy (9/11/1914 - 6/04/2002) was the 
daughter of Jesse Monroe Kennedy (1884 - 1956) and Fannie Louvenia Morris
(6/24/1888 - 11/23/1950), both @ Winnfield Cemetery. She married Ponce 
DeLeon Howell (5/06/1907 - 11/03/1982) on 5/03/1931. He was the last of 
16 children of Robert Franklin Howell and Sarilda Frances Hooper who moved
from Bolivar, Tenn to
