Hugh Howell, Dodson Youth, Dies Saturday

Hugh Howell, 27 years of age, of the Dodson community, died last Saturday
morning at 7 o'clock in a Winnfield clinic, after a brief illness.

Howell underwent an operation for appendicitis.  Later complications
developed.  The deceased is survived by his mother, Mrs. Ellen Howell, Dodson;
three sisters, Mrs. G. W. White of Zimmerman, Miss Pearl Howell of Dodson,
and Mrs. Charlie Snyder of Winnfield; and three brothers, Ed and Denny Howell
of Dodson and Will Howell of Winnfield.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon with the Rev. I. A. Patton of
Monroe, pastor of the New Hope M. E. Church, in charge.  The remains were
interred in the cemetery at Siloam, Jackson Parish.
