Howard Funeral services for Mrs. Leola Maiden Howard, 64, of 503 Patch Street, Winnfield, La., were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 28, 1980, at Morning Star Baptist Church, Rev. Fred Jacobs officiating, and burial followed in the Winnfield Cemetery. Arrangements were under direction of Ben Johnson Funeral Home. Mrs. Howard died at 1:45 a.m. Sunday, November 23, at Winnfield General Hospital. She was born in Vidalia, La., but had lived most of her life in Winnfield. Also she had been active in her church's work, particularly with youth activities. Survivors include her husband, Willie Howard of Winnfield; three sons, John Payne of Winnfield, Roy B. Howard of Columbia, S. C., and Andre Howard of Winnfield; one stepson, Rayfield Howard of Denver, Colorado; two daughters, Mrs. Annie Bell Keels of Winnfield and Mrs. Price (Delores) Pointer of Fort Polk, La.; 14 grandchildren; five brothers and two sisters; one uncle; and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends.
