Death Claims Miss Susie Hargis At Pineville, La.

Was Native of Winn Parish; Funeral Services Held Monday

Miss Susie Hargis, aged 74 years, died at the home of her nephew, I. A.
Hargis, on the Holloway Prairie Road, Pineville, la., Sunday, December 29,
1935.  Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, December 30, at the
Pineville Methodist Church.  Interment was made in the Pollock Cemetery.

Miss Susie Hargis was a native of Winn Parish and was the daughter of the late
Dr. Quincy Hargis, one of the pioneer residents of this section.  Dr. Hargis
was a practicing physician in Winn during and after the Civil War.  Miss Susie
resided in Winnfield about fifteen years.

Surviving are one brother, A. J. Hargis, Natchitoches, La.; two sisters, Mrs.
Ida Terrell, Shreveport, La.; Miss Kate Hargis, Columbia, La.; and a number of
nieces and nephews.
