Mrs. Myra Harper Buried At Beech Creek Monday

Funeral services for Mrs. Myra Harper, 78, who died at the home of her son, O.
E. Harper, in Maud, Texas, Saturday, May 15, 1948, following a long illness,
were held at Beech Creek, Monday, with the Rev. H. J. Mott of Winnfield,
assisted by the Methodist minister of Maud, Texas, officiating.

Mrs. Harper, a native of Winn Parish, had resided with her son about a year
previous to her death.  She had been a member of the Baptist Church since
girlhood.

Surviving besides her son are four daughters, Mrs. R. E. Slaughter,
Shreveport; Mrs. D. C. Sanders, Tullos; Mrs. B. H. Smith, Olla, and Mrs. E. F.
Meeks, Corpus Christi, Texas; one sister, Mrs. J. W. McDonald of Clarks; a
daughter in law, Mrs. Eva Pearl Harper, Route 2, Winnfield; and 11
grandchildren.
