Hubbard, Jr. succumbed to a massive heart attack on Sunday Feb.16 at his winter home in Lakeland, Florida. He was born Dec. 29, 1919 in Black Oak, Ark. and is a former resident of that state as well as Louisiana but resided in Fort Wayne, Indiana a major portion of his life. Mr. Hubbard is a WW11 Veteran & entered the Army-Air Corps while living in Winnfield, Louisiana. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church ; Sol D. Bayless Lodge 359 F&AM and the Fort Wayne Order of Eastern Star. Until his retirement in 1976 he was the owner-operator of the Northcrest & Crestwood Enco Stations. Surviving are his wife, the former Mary Jane Coolman; one daughter, Shirley Armstrong of Fort Wayne; three sons, Nathan James Hubbard of DeRidder, La., M. E. Hubbard of Clayton, Wash. & Gary Hubbard of Fort Wayne; two sisters, Elizabeth Reinau of Palatka, Florida & Stella Skains of Winnfield, Louisiana; and 11 grandchildren. Masonic services are at 7:30 Friday & funeral services are Saturday at 10:30 AM at the C. M. Sloan Funeral Home with interment in the Veteran's Section of the Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorials are gifts to the Allen County Cancer Society or the Heart Fund.
