All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: June 16, 1966 Winn Parish Enterprise News-American Final Rites For Mrs. Huddleston Held Monday Mrs. Dora Peterson Huddleston, 72, widow of the late Phine Huddleston, Ward 10 member of the police jury for many years and a leader in Winn Parish politics during his lifetime, died at her home in Ward 10 unexpectedly at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 12, 1966. She was a member of the Yankee Springs Baptist Church. Funeral services were conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at the Yankee Springs Baptist Church with the pastor, Rev. D. W. McDaniel, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Coda Salter of Tullos and the Rev. W. L. Fussell of Ward 10. Burial was in the Yankee Springs Cemetery under direction of Edmonds Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers were Bobby, Douglas, Donnell, Otis, Jr., and Harold Peterson, and Joe Hughen, all nephews of the deceased. Mrs. Huddleston is survived by three brothers, Otis Peterson of Winnfield, Dayton Peterson of Saline, and Aubrey Peterson of Goldonna.
